Hogue rubber grips are molded from durable synthetic thermoplastic elastomer rubber that is neither spongy or tacky yet provides a soft recoil absorbing feel without affecting accuracy. This modern rubber requires a completely different molding process than ordinary neoprene resulting in a much superior grip. The flexibility of the materials and molding process has allowed Hogue to produce rubber grips with features that out perform all other makes.

Hogue Handall grips are intentionally made to be a VERY tight fit so it will take a bit of effort to get the grip installed.

Just before you install the grip, use some ammonia based cleaner (such as Windex) or some plain (no lotion, no aloe) hand sanitizer as a lubricant. Apply it liberally to the pistol grip you’re installing the grip sleeve on. If you’re installing the grip sleeve on a metal framed pistol Hogue recommends that you use the plain hand sanitizer instead of the ammonia based cleaner because it’s safer for the metal; on polymer frames it doesn’t matter which you use.
